Instant crypto exchange plans to launch iOS app for PRO services

Published at: Sept. 11, 2020

A platform that aims to help everyday consumers buy and sell cryptocurrencies with ease is launching its own iOS app for PRO traders next week.

Changelly PRO’s software for iPhone will include all the features from the desktop version and serve as a fully equipped trading platform that allows anyone to complete transactions while on the move.

As well as benefiting from a multicurrency wallet where a plethora of assets can be stored, an interactive and customizable terminal will be directly accessible on any Apple smartphone, enabling access to more than 50 trading pairs.

The service promises to offer some of the industry’s lowest withdrawal fees across the most popular coins and tokens, and just like on the desktop, margin trading with up to 10x leverage will be available across more than 20 liquid crypto pairs.

Changelly, the instant crypto exchange behind the upcoming app, says one of its top priorities has been ensuring that the registration process is as seamless as possible. To this end, PRO users will be able to complete the Know Your Customer procedure directly from the app. The overall goal is to provide simplicity and accommodate the needs of traders in any situation.

According to Changelly, there are plenty of plans for future development, too. One of them involves making its referral program available through the iOS app.

The ambitious plans come days after Changelly PRO announced it had listed Velas, meaning that VLX/BTC and VLX/USDT trading pairs are now available to all users.

Community demands

Changelly’s development is continually guided by customer research. Last month, the company revealed that 50% of crypto users rely on custodial exchanges for short-term trading. That’s substantially more than the 10% seen when the company launched in 2015.

At the time, the exchange’s CEO Eric Benz said: “We have witnessed not only the maturity of the market but also the maturity of the audience. One cannot go without the other. Launching our own exchange answers the demands of our community who has been clearly requesting more advanced trading services.”

Improving the space

Changelly says that its rationale has long been to create an experience where consumers, irrespective of their experience level, feel comfortable with using crypto services and are making the most of what trading platforms have to offer. According to the company, too many platforms in the industry have been offering a disjointed experience, meaning traders and investors often need to maintain several different accounts to fulfill their needs.

The clean design of Changelly PRO illustrates how the company is attempting to change the status quo. Most importantly, achieving simplicity isn’t at the expense of keeping accounts secure. All assets held in an account are protected with two-factor authentication, email confirmations and whitelists for withdrawals.
