This contest is giving you the chance to own a rare CryptoPunk

Published at: July 6, 2021

A new contest has been launched that gives participants the chance to get their hands on exceedingly rare nonfungible tokens — including a CryptoPunk and Bored Apes.

Liquidifty.io says its latest collector contest also boasts works by Pak, XCOPY, Steven Baltay, x0r, Steve Aoki and a plethora of other talented artists.

The top prize is CryptoPunk #6691, one of the 10,000 uniquely generated characters from the beloved series. This particular punk sports a front beard, earring, horned-rimmed glasses and a knitted cap — a proper hipster if ever there was one. A look at the transaction history for this NFT on the Larva Labs website showed that it last sold for $40,158.

A total of 10,000 NFT packs are up for sale, and the most valuable nonfungible tokens have been distributed between them at random. This creates an exciting lottery as you’ll never know what’s inside the pack you’ve purchased until you open it. Crucially, there are no empty packs — meaning that you’ll always get a piece of artwork or a crypto collectible.

Liquidifty says that each of these NFT packs can only be opened once all 10,000 have been sold. However, based on how past collector contests have gone, this shouldn’t be too long — packs in the last competition were said to have sold out in three minutes flat.

Championing new artists

According to Liquidifty, this contest isn’t an official collaboration with top artists — instead, they are giving away NFTs from their rather extensive collection.

Another exciting element about this approach is how it champions fresh and talented creators, allowing participants to discover newcomers in the vibrant world of digital art. This means that, although the NFTs that are in a pack may be relatively unknown right now, they could be associated with a big name in the future.

As you might expect, purchasing a greater number of NFT packs increases the chance of coming across the rare CryptoPunk. There’s no limit on the number of packs that can be purchased and each one costs 10 LQT. At the time of writing, that’s worth about $7.

This cryptocurrency can be bought through the PancakeSwap decentralized exchange. To purchase an NFT pack, all you need to do is connect your crypto wallet on the Liquidifty website.

Regular updates on the outcome of contests are provided through Liquidifty’s website and Medium page, as well as its social media channels.

Lots to look forward to

Liquidifty has had a big 2021. It has launched a fully functional NFT marketplace on Binance Smart Chain, and an array of programs to support artists. It now has more than 20,000 followers on Twitter and 15,000 on Telegram, and the project has even been retweeted by Binance.

Looking ahead to the rest of the year, the project is planning to launch a special, generative augmented reality NFT product — and establish a bridge for nonfungible tokens between BSC and other chains. Loans will also be offered that use these assets as collateral.

As 2022 begins, Liquidifty plans to deliver a multi-chain NFT exchange, complete with price oracles, as well as NFT vaults.

Why Kevin O'Leary thinks NFTs could become bigger than Bitcoin
Millionaire investor and crypto proponent Kevin O'Leary thinks that the NFT sector could be worth more than Bitcoin in the future.
