Bitcoin bounces at $41K as optimism increases over stocks correlation
Bitcoin (BTC) rebounded strongly from $41,000 during Jan. 20 as bears hoping for a step into lower territory stayed disappointed. Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView showed BTC/USD adding $1,000 after dipping to near the $41,000 mark for the first time since Jan. 11. In what could be a temporary reprieve, Bitcoin nonetheless stayed rangebound, with no noticeable attacks on resistance — behavior all too familiar for spot traders in recent days. "Good bounce from Bitcoin, but I'd be happier if we reclaim $42.4K region," Cointelegraph contributor Michaël van de Poppe summarized in his latest Twitter update. In a …

ELA, API3 and PROM buck the market-wide downtrend by posting a 20%+ gain

Despite the downturn, altcoins managed to overcome the noise and several posted double-digit gains on Tuesday. Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView shows that the biggest gainers over the past 24-hours were Elsastos (ELA), API3 (API3) and Prometheus (PROM). Elastos launches …

Here’s why Binance Coin is 33% down from its all-time high
Binance Coin (BNB) holders enjoyed a 1,760% rally from $37 to $692 between January and May 2021, but as is customary in crypto, this surge was followed by a 69% correction two weeks later. From there, it’s been a bit of a rough patch to regain investors' confidence and BNB failed to produce another all-time high in November even though the aggregate cryptocurrency market capitalization peaked at $3 trillion. In addition to being 33% down from its all-time high, BNB investors have other reasons to question whether the current $465 price is sustainable. Especially since traders were recently paying up …

Cardano goes ‘full send’ with a 50% ADA rally ahead of SundaeSwap launch
Cardano (ADA) traded within striking distance of its three-week high this at the start of this week, leading some investors to suggest that a trend reversal was in order. In reality, the bullish momentum is primarily connected to anticipation of the upcoming decentralized exchange (DEX) called SundaeSwap. ADA price rose by nearly 12% on Jan.17 to reach an intraday high of $1.60, a day after SundaeSwap announced the launch of its "fully-functional beta decentralized exchange (DEX)." Nonetheless, the upside swing also came as a part of a wider rebound trend wherein ADA jumped by almost 50% in just seven days. …

Bitcoin price can’t find its footing, but BTC fundamentals inspire confidence in traders
Bitcoin’s (BTC) sudden crash on Jan. 10 caused the price to trade below $40,000 for the first time in 110 days and this was a wake-up call to leveraged traders. $1.9 billion worth of long (buy) futures contracts were liquidated that week, causing the morale among traders to plunge.
