The exchange officially announced on Nov. 29 that it restarted DOGE withdrawals after experiencing a major issue where Binance users were unable to withdraw Dogecoin for 17 days. Additionally, 1,634 users on Binance were sent old transactions due to a conflict of several DOGE wallet versions. This happened due to a “combination of unlikely factors” and ultimately affected only Binance, the exchange wrote: “In short, if 1) your platform had listed DOGE all …

Top 5 cryptocurrencies to watch this week: BTC, BNB, LUNA, MANA, SAND
Bitcoin (BTC) and most major altcoins have been struggling to recover from the sharp fall seen on Nov. 26. This indicates that traders may be nervous to buy at current levels due to the uncertainty regarding the new heavily-mutated coronavirus strain detected in South Africa. According to a CryptoCompare report, Bitcoin’s assets under management decreased 9.5% to $48.70 billion in November. On the other hand, the AUM of altcoin-based crypto funds increased 5.4% to $16.60 billion. This indicates that traders may have booked profits in Bitcoin and rotated part of that money into altcoins. Celsius founder and CEO Alex Mashinsky …

Bitcoin risks lowest weekly close in 2 months but BTC buyers stock up at $53K
Bitcoin (BTC) hovered around $54,000 on Nov. 28 as the upcoming weekly close showed signs of hitting two-month lows. Buyers keen at $53,000 Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView followed a quiet 24 hours for BTC/USD after Friday's $6,000 red candle. Although quiet into Sunday, the pair nonetheless dipped below a major zone of support on weekly timeframes, opening up the potential for its lowest end-of-week levels since late September. For trader and analyst Rekt Capital, $55,800 should be reclaimed to reverse this, something which could still "easily" occur. Here's #BTC on the Weekly timeframe Now dipping below the …

Bitcoin AUM falls 9.5% to record largest monthly pullback since July
The Bitcoin AUM market fell 9.5% to $48.7 billion in November, marking the year’s largest month-on-month pullback since July, according to a CryptoCompare report. On the other hand, altcoin-based crypto funds such as ETH saw their AUM rise 5.4% to $16.6 billion. While Bitcoin’s (BTC) position as a viable hedge against fiat inflation continues to attract investors, new data reflects a change in sentiment as Ethereum (ETH) and other cryptocurrency products pick up steam against falling Bitcoin assets under management (AUM). As shown in the above graph, the total AUM across all digital asset investment products has fallen 5.5% to …

The Holy Grail for crypto traders: Consistent average returns over 5%
If you look at crypto assets’ price movements as a series of isolated events, the picture is messy. Sure, some traders can occasionally win big off one-time events or thanks to sensing a meme-inspired trend. In the long run, however, most of these “fortuitous” traders tend to lose. Why? Because they have to pick big-time winners to cover all the times they miss their targets. For every Shiba Inu, there were a thousand coins that didn’t moon. Which is why crypto traders who employ processes rather than try to predict events are more likely to fill their bags in the …

Vitalik Buterin proposes calldata limit per block to lower ETH gas costs
Ethereum (ETH) co-founder Vitalik Buterin has proposed a new limit on the total transaction calldata in a block to decrease the overall transaction calldata gas cost over the ETH network. Buterin’s post on the Ethereum Magicians forum, EIP-4488, highlights concerns regarding high transaction fees on Layer-1 blockchains for rollups and the considerable amount of time to implement and deploy data sharding: “Hence, a short-term solution to further cut costs for rollups, and to incentivize an ecosystem-wide transition to a rollup-centric Ethereum, is desired.” While the entrepreneur cited an alternative wherein the gas costs parameters could be decreased without further adding …

Price analysis 11/26: BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, ADA, XRP, DOT, DOGE, AVAX, SHIB
Bitcoin (BTC) and most major altcoins sold off along with global equity markets and crude oil on Nov. 26. The markets were roiled on news of a new coronavirus variant detected in South Africa that is worrying scientists due to its large number of mutations in the spike protein. The sharp fall has resulted in cross-crypto liquidations of over $750 million over the 24-hour period but the funding rates across exchanges remain elevated. This suggests that the selling may not be over yet. Bitcoin’s monthly close for November is most likely not going to hit analyst PlanB’s worst-case scenario of …

Stablecoin issuers poised to be banks of the future on road to adoption
There is no denying the fact that the crypto market has grown from strength to strength over the course of 2021, as is best highlighted by the total capitalization of the industry recently hitting the $3-trillion mark, albeit for a relatively brief period of time. That said, stablecoins, a class of cryptos that have their value pegged to a fiat currency, have seen their usage increase dramatically in recent months thanks, in large part, to their ability to help investors get their feet wet with digital currencies while eliminating many of the core issues — such as daily price volatility …

Report claims each Solana TX uses less energy than 2 Google searches
A transaction on the Solana network takes less energy than two Google searches, and 24 times less energy than charging your phone, according to a Nov. 25 report by the Solana Foundation. The report states that a single transaction on its network uses 0.00051 kWh, or 1,836 Joules, of energy. According to Google, an average search uses 0.0003 kWh or 1,080 Joules of energy. Perhaps more surprisingly, the report claims the entire Solana network uses an estimated 3,186,000 kWh per year, which is equivalent to the average electricity usage of 986 American households. In May, the Solana Foundation contracted Robert …
