Decentralized exchange Uniswap v3 gets 'Warp'ed' onto StarkNet
Ethereum development company Nethermind has announced it has “transpiled and compiled” decentralized exchange (DEX) Uniswap v3 on “Warp” — a project designed to allow Ethereum users to swap tokens on the more scalable Ethereum layer-2 network StarkNet. The milestone was announced by team lead Jorik Schellekens in an Oct. 9 Medium post. Nethermind describes Warp as a “Solidity to Cairo Transpiler” which enables Ethereum-based projects written in Solidity to transition its codebase onto StarkNet, allowing them to capitalize on cheaper fees. Transpiling is the process of taking source code written in one programming language and transforming it into another language …

Crypto traders shift their focus to altcoins while Bitcoin price consolidates
It has been difficult for Bitcoin (BTC) and the cryptocurrency markets to start a strong sustained recovery while the United States dollar is near its multi-year high and the U.S. equities markets are near their June lows. This shows that the sentiment remains negative and traders are not interested in taking on risk in their portfolios. The U.S. equities markets fell sharply on Oct. 7 following the release of September’s nonfarm payroll data but they did manage marginal gains for the week. The S&P 500 rose 1.5% and the Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.7% last week. Meanwhile, Bitcoin is on track …

Boasting the most user-friendly crypto trading services that are being meted out autonomously, the project uses its native ERC-20 Yearn Finance (YFI) cryptocurrency to incentivize those who lock their crypto tokens in Yearn.finance contracts through any of the supported platforms such as Balancer and Curve DeFi. With all of its protocols operating on the Ethereum blockchain, Yearn.finance is managed through developers that act in accordance …

Bitcoin price finally made a move, and fireworks are sure to follow
This week, Bitcoin (BTC) raised investors’ hopes and then left them high and dry again. Traders placed a majority of their attention on BTC price pushing through a long-term descending trendline resistance, but according to Cointelegraph analyst Ray Salmond, “BTC price simply ‘consolidated’ its way through the trendline by trading in a sideways manner where price has been range bound between $18,500 and $24,500 for the past 114 days.” At the time of writing, BTC’s price continues to battle at $20,000, and it’s uncertain whether or not the level will hold as support. Data from on-chain analytics firm Whalemap shows …

Price analysis 10/7: SPX, DXY, BTC, ETH, BNB, XRP, ADA, SOL, DOGE, MATIC
The United States nonfarm payrolls increased by 263,000 in September, marginally below the Dow Jones estimate of 275,000, but the unemployment rate dropped to 3.5% compared to the forecast of 3.7%. Some analysts believe the report shows that the jobs market remains strong in spite of the Federal Reserve’s efforts to slow down the economy and that could encourage the Fed to go ahead with another aggressive rate hike in its next meeting in November. This led to a sharp fall in the U.S. equities markets on Oct. 7. Although Bitcoin (BTC) has traded in close correlation with the U.S. …

Followers of the Ethereum Classic Twitter account may have found themselves the unintended fans of an entirely new crypto project after Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson turned the account into the new community page for the Ergo community. The Ethereum Classic account had built up over 600,000 followers since its inception in July 2016, and up until Sept. 15, has been used to post about Ethereum Classic. However, as of Oct. 6, the Twitter page now reflects the Ergo Platform, a proof-of-work (PoW) blockchain capable of facilitating smart contracts, similar to Ethereum, with links to Cardano. Bitcoin price sees first October spike above $20K as daily gains hit 5%
Bitcoin (BTC) saw its first trip above $20,000 on Oct. 4 as traders expected familiar resistance to cap gains. Multi-week dollar lows fuel Bitcoin bulls Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView showed BTC/USD climbing prior to the Wall Street open, up over 5% in 24 hours. The pair had shaken off macroeconomic concerns at the start of the week, with trouble at Credit Suisse and the escalating Russia-Ukraine conflict failing to slow performance. Now, short-term analysis focused on a run potentially topping out closer to $21,000 — as was the case late last month, as sell-side pressure at that …

CoinShares' Butterfill suggests 'continued hesitancy' among investors
Minor inflows for digital asset investment products over the last few weeks suggest a “continued hesitancy” towards crypto amongst institutional investors amid a slowdown of the U.S. economy. In the latest edition of CoinShares’ weekly “Digital Asset Fund Flows” report, Coinshares head of research James Butterfill highlighted stand-offish institutional sentiment towards crypto investment products, which saw "minor inflows" for the third week in a row. “The flows remain low implying continued hesitancy amongst investors, this is highlighted in investment product trading volumes which were US$886m for the week, the lowest since October 2020.” Between Sept. 26 and Sept. 30, investment …

Speaking to Cointelegraph, Swami said that analysts are in “intense demand” as there’s a “real need” for data experts to “make sense” of on-chain data, explaining: “There is an unresolved backlog of unfilled data-driven roles. This demand is a testament to how eager blockchain and non-blockchain companies alike are to make sense of their own and competitors’ on-chain data.” Swami explained that while the demand for on-chain data analysts has yet to eclipse their …
