Hacker Sells Tens of Thousands of Ledger, Tezor, and Keepkey Users’ Info
The hacker that breached the Ethereum.org forum is allegedly selling the databases for the three most-popular crypto hard wallets — Ledger, Trezor, and KeepKey. The three databases contain the name, address, phone number, and email for more than 80,000 users combined, however, they do not contain passwords for the accounts. The hacker has also recently listed the SQL database for online investment platform, BnkToTheFuture. YouTuber Sentenced to 50 Years for Kidnapping and Bitcoin Ransom
25-year-old Mexican YouTuber Germán Abraham Loera Acosta has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for masterminding a woman’s kidnapping in February 2018 in Chihuahua, Mexico. WowWowWowWowWowWowWowWow. Acosta is one of six men convicted for the kidnapping. The group demanded $100,000 in Bitcoin (BTC) in exchange for the release of 33-year-old lawyer Tania Denisse. Ripple, the firm behind the third biggest cryptocurrency XRP, has led an investment round in Bitso, one of the biggest crypto exchanges in the Spanish-speaking world. Mexican Crypto Exchange Bitso Seals DLT License from Gibraltar Regulator
Mexican cryptocurrency exchange Bitso will from now on be regulated by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC), a July 19 announcement revealed.
