Terabithia cross-chain protocol bridges Internet Computer and Ethereum
On Wednesday, Psychedelic, a Web 3.0 development studio building solutions for the Internet Computer, launched Terabithia, a cross-chain contract communication and asset mirroring protocol. Beginning with the Internet Computer (ICP) and Ethereum (ETH), users will have the ability to mirror and use any ETH tokens, fungible and nonfungible, on the Internet Computer blockchain and vice versa, effectively turning ICP into a layer-two scaling solution for ETH. Doctors Without Borders is now using blockchain tech for medical record storage
At a November 11 press conference, blockchain- based document security company Transcrypts announced a partnership with Doctors Without Borders, or DWB, that began on October 14th. Working together, they have already uploaded 6500 immunization records to the blockchain, with a goal of 76000 by 2022. Most of the recorded immunizations are COVID 19 vaccines, but the company stated that the eventually the goal is to store all patient medical records on the blockchain, where they will be accessible from a patient's phone. Flow integrates Filecoin storage services to make NFTs more decentralized
Filecoin has officially become the storage collaborator for the Flow Blockchain. Filecoin said in a Wednesday announcement that the move was a part of a push to ensure holders' and issuers' nonfungible tokens (NFTs) are "securely available everywhere." OpenSea trading volume explodes 76,240% YTD amid NFT boom
Trading volumes on peer-to-peer nonfungible token (NFT) marketplace OpenSea have surged by over 12,000% in 2021. DappRadar data shows that the total incoming value to OpenSea’s smart contracts increased to $56.07 million on Wednesday compared to $73,556 on Jan. 1. Meanwhile, the marketplace’s user count increased from 315 to 14,520 in the same period — a 4,423% increase. A major portion of OpenSea’s trading volume spike happened after June.
