How Bitcoin’s strong correlation to stocks could trigger a drop to $8,000
The Bitcoin (BTC) price chart from the past couple of months reflects nothing more than a bearish outlook and it’s no secret that the cryptocurrency has consistently made lower lows since breaching $48,000 in late March. Curiously, the difference in support levels has been getting wider as the correction continues to drain investor confidence and risk appetite. For example, the latest $19,000 baseline is almost $10,000 away from the previous support. So if the same movement is bound to happen, the next logical price level would be $8,000. Traders are afraid of regulation and contagion On July 11, the Financial …

3 reasons why Bitcoin is struggling to flip $20K to support
The positive gains recorded in the first ten days of July have all but disappeared on July 13 as Bitcoin (BTC) and the wider market slid back toward new yearly lows. Subdued action in the market can be traced back to a variety of factors, ranging from July 13's record-high Consumer Price Index print and a raging U.S. dollar that recently hit its highest level since October 2002. Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView shows that July 13 marked the fifth consecutive day of a declining BTC price, which hit an intra-day low at $18,910, following the declines across …

Why Coinbase is banning slide decks and ‘endless meetings’
Crypto exchange Coinbase is getting rid of slide decks and “endless meetings” as a way to improve productivity following the purge of roughly 18% of employees last month. In a July 13 blog post, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong noted that the company is currently focused on “driving more efficiency” as it continues to scale, pointing to a 200% year-on-year employee growth over 18 months that had started to put a strain on the firm’s organizational structure. He suggested that many major firms experiencing rapid growth generally end up becoming complacent and slowing down, while great companies do the opposite: “While …

3 key metrics suggest Bitcoin and the wider crypto market have further to fall
The total crypto market capitalization has fluctuated in a 17% range in the $840 billion to $980 billion zone for the past 28 days. The price movement is relatively tight considering the extreme uncertainties surrounding the recent market sell-off catalysts and the controversy surrounding Three Arrows Capital. From July 4 to 11, Bitcoin (BTC) gained a modest 1.8% while Ether (ETH) price stood flat. More importantly, the total crypto market is down 50% in just three months, which means traders are giving higher odds of the descending triangle formation breaking below its $840 billion support. #Bitcoin Bottom scenario : Since …

Price analysis 7/11: BTC, ETH, BNB, XRP, ADA, SOL, DOGE, DOT, SHIB, AVAX
The United States dollar index (DXY) resumed its strong uptrend on July 11, indicating that investors are preparing for the July 13 CPI report to be hotter than expected. A survey of economists by Bloomberg estimates that in June consumer prices surged to 8.8%, a four-decade high. Arthur Hayes, the former CEO of derivatives trading platform BitMEX, believes that the U.S. dollar and the euro were moving towards hitting parity. If that happens, the central banks will have to adopt yield curve control, which could lead to the disintegration of the currency and ultimately benefit Bitcoin (BTC). Glassnode analyst James …

Voyager can't guarantee all customers will receive their crypto under proposed recovery plan
Following Voyager Digital filing for bankruptcy on Tuesday, the crypto lending firm said its recovery plan was aimed at preserving customer assets but did not explicitly state it would be able to return all equivalent funds to affected users. In a Monday blog, Voyager said it had roughly $1.3 billion in affected users’ funds in addition to $650 million of “claims against Three Arrows Capital” — referring to the 15,250 Bitcoin (BTC) and 350 million USD Coin (USDC) loan the firm failed to repay. According to Voyager’s proposed recovery plan — subject to approval from the courts — users may …
