Blockchain enables enterprise business models in the Metaverse
Enterprise blockchain has come a long way since its inception in 2017. Blockchain for enterprise use initially began as a technology built on private, permissioned networks, primarily used for supply chain management. As blockchain matured overtime, enterprises began to leverage public, permissionless networks like Ethereum to conduct business. Fast forward to 2021 — enterprises are now applying decentralized concepts to create more efficient workflows in the Metaverse. William Herkelrath, head of business development at Chainlink Labs — a decentralized oracle network — told Cointelegraph that while the Metaverse is hard to define, he believes that it’s a collection of ecosystems …

DAO adopts Web 3.0 technology to democratize climate change mitigation initiatives
There's no denying the fact that global warming jeopardizes humanity’s present and future. There have been numerous initiatives to stem its progress worldwide, including 26 Conferences of Parties (COP) meetings since the Rio Earth Summit of 1992. So far, two features have characterized those major initiatives and agreements like that. First, there's been an overreliance on the politicians and big businesses to drive the agenda. Secondly, the meetings have tended to over promise action but underdeliver on the implementation front. The result? A significant global population feels excluded from deliberations on such an important matter. Additionally, the sustainability push has …

Community-focused DAO onboards CNBC anchor Jon Najarian as a council member
Few people can influence major change in the world on their own merit. However, there is a small group who can – the billionaires. Taken together, this elite group has trillions of dollars put into real estate, tax havens and other investments. Sadly, this amount of money, unfathomable to most, is rarely being allocated where it is needed most. With estimates suggesting $6 billion could solve world hunger or $10 billion could fully fund the UN program for refugees, there is potential for funds to be allocated more strategically to solve these growing concerns. Unfortunately, with little movement in the …
