Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has added a mirrored version of the Ethereum blockchain's native token Ether (ETH) to its crypto price index, just ahead of a key network upgrade on Dec. 10. Dubbed "ETH2," the symbol appeared to have been tracking the original Ether market data synchronously. For instance, the cost to purchase ETH2 came out to be the same as that for ETH. Meanwhile, their market capitalization, volume, circulating supply, and price changes were also identical. Ethereum's native token Ether (ETH) looks poised to extend its selloff this week as it wobbles near a key support level of $4,000. ETH price dropped by over 5.50% on Dec. 6 to an intraday low at $3,913. In doing so, it slipped through upward sloping support that constituted an Ascending Channel that — more or less — appears like a Bear Flag, a bearish continuation setup. Conservative traders typically spot Bear Flags when an instrument consolidates higher inside a parallel channel after a considerable price drop (called Flagpole). They anticipate the price to break below the Flag's lower trendline. …

Today Ether (ETH) price briefly touched $4,760, exciting investors and reminding the world that the altcoin is a mere 2.2% below the $4,870 all-time high reached 20 days ago. While the spot price action might be intriguing, let’s see what’s happening in Ether’s derivatives markets. While it is possible to draw a descending channel that shows support at $3,960, today's 5.4% positive move seems decoupled from Bitcoin's (BTC) negative performance. Earlier today, commodities and stocks took a hit after the U.S. Federal Reserve acknowledged that inflation is more than just a "transitory" trend and Fed chair Jerome Powell said that …

In the Nov. 21 thread, Su claimed that Ethereum culture “suffers massively from the Founders’ Dilemma,” and that “everyone is already far too rich to remember what they originally set out to do.” Yes I have abandoned Ethereum despite supporting it in the past. As a result, Ether's path of least resistance has been to the upside despite pullbacks at the Channel's upper trendline, with its quarter-to-date returns currently sitting at over 38%. Most recently, the rising trendline was instrumental in limiting selloffs that followed the Ether price's …
